Highland Games enjoys good weather - and big crowds
12 AugustBridge of Allan's 159th Highland Games was a great success, as having a TV weather man as chieftain seemed to bring the good weather for the event as large crowds came to the games.
Sean Batty, STV weatherman was this year's chieftain, and competitor numbers were up for the event too. The crowd was estimated to be over 8000, swelled to over 10,000 with the pipe bands, dancers and other competitors.
