Bridge of Allan ready for 159th Highland Games
22 JulyThe 159th Bridge of Allan Highland games is set to be held on Sunday 8th August, with this year's Strathallan event promising to be bigger and better than ever.
STV weatherman Sean Batty will be chieftain of the games, and organisers are hoping for good weather for one of Scotland' premier Highland games which attracts crowds of between 8,000 and 12,000 every year.
Heavyweight contests, caber-tossing, athletics, cycling and wrestling as well as performances by some 200 Highland dancers and around 1600 pipers will be the centrepiece of the games.
